Under 25s gain revenge in club match [Tuesday 12 August 2003]
Club match
Cirencester Under 25s - 125/9 and 85/5
Cirencester Over 25s - 115/9 and 71/4
Cirencester Under 25s won by 24 runs
On a hot, sunny afternoon that avoided the storms circling Cirencester Park, Cirencester CC played their annual Under 25s v Over 25s match. The Under 25s, superbly led by Andy Reynolds, gained revenge for their defeat in 2002 with a 24 run victory.
This year, the club used the Under/Over 25 match as the focus for a very successful Family Day with a bouncy castle and barbecue. The Junior players took part in a six-a-side tournament with teams captained by Matt Carter, Robin Newbegin and Tom Traish with the Matt Carter VI winning the round robin competition.
