Cirencester relegated again [Tuesday 27 August 2002]
Cirencester's fourth relegation in successive seasons was confirmed when they lost by 15 runs to Shurdington in division one of the County League at The Park.
Cirencester needed 182 and Dominic Jeffcott did his best to get them there with 62, but the rest of the side did not master Neil Bennett, who took five for 44 to help to bowl them out for 166.
This means that Cirencester will start next season in division two of the County League, having started 1999 in the Western Premier feeder league.
