Cricket Force 2006 project launched
Monday 20 February 2006
Cricket Force 2006 is coming to your club soon ( and counting).
When? Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 April 2006
Where? Cirencester Park
Why? To continue the re-generation of Cirencester Cricket Club

Much planning has already begun for this year's Cricket Force and with the support of the club committee this year's events will include the following tasks:
- Service sightscreens
- Relay two Flicx pitches to the top nets
- Create fully operational irrigation systems
- General ground tasks of rolling, weeding and cutting squares
- Replace guttering
- Electrical work
- Revamp the cottage garden
- Refurbish the cottage
- Cosmetic work to the bar and lounge area
- plus many more tasks
The event for 2006 takes place on the weekend of 8 and 9 April and once again we are asking for your support in whatever way possible. The necessary support can either be:
- Physical (the weekend or week before)
or
-
Financial (providing materials personally or through your employer)
Those of you that contributed to last year's Cricket Force will remember how rewarding it was to see so much achieved over the weekend and will have smiled every time someone commented on the improved facilities during the season.
We have already received commitment from volunteers and support from local businesses and a roll of honour will begin to develop on the website over the coming weeks.
In order to pledge your time, materials or useful contacts please email the project co-director Nikki Woodcock.
