Q. Where do I send the form?

Brian Hudson

Q. Can I simply turn up with a filled out form and pay on the day?
A. To enable the coaches to plan the courses to maximise enjoyment and learning, we always ask for pre-registraion. To avoid disappointment, please send your forms in at the earliest possible opportunity.
Q. What are the times of the courses?
A. Each day runs from 10:00 to 15:30, including a break for lunch.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. £55 for Cirencester Cricket Club members and £65 for non-members for the full 3 days. Or £22 per day for members and £27 for non-members.
Each player will receive a free T-shirt when attending a full course at Easter or Whitsun or a full course during the summer holidays.
Q. What should I wear?
A. The key requirement is sportswear and trainers. Players who have them often wear their whites and spikes (NB Spikes cannot be worn on the Club's net facilities). Caps and suncream to protect from the sun are essential.
Q. What equipment do I need?
A. Players are very welcome to bring any of their own cricket equipment, but do not need to do so as the Cricket Club can provide it all.
Q. What about lunch?
A. Players should bring a packed lunch and a drink. The tuck shop will be open during lunch and after each day if players wish to buy sweets or soft drinks.
Q. What happens in poor weather?
A. The course can cope with most adverse weather; warm drizzle in the summer is not a problem. If it is showery, then the coaches have indoor activities to fill in any breaks in the weather.
Q. What happens if a day is called off due to the weather?
A. If the weather is so bad that a day has to be called off a message will be left on the Club's mobile telephone (07526 924695) and on the Holiday Coaching Twitter (www.twitter.com/CirenCCCourses) before 9am. If a day has to called off, it will be rescheduled for the Friday of the same week.
Q. Which course should 10 and 11 year olds attend?
A. It is up to them. The "FUNdamentals" course focuses on the basics of the sport and learning them through games, where as the "Performance" course concentrates on improving players' technical, mental and tactical abilities. 10 and 11 year olds are more than welcome to attend both courses
